Hauser & Wirth Institute provides generous research grants for predoctoral and senior scholars. These archives-based fellowships promote meaningful, field-enriching research by established art historians and curators, and foster a new generation of scholars. All applicants with a strong art history background are encouraged to apply.

The Senior Scholar Fellowship Program:
- Funds archives-based research undertaken during a one-year period
- Awards a stipend of $50,000 to each recipient
- Supports rigorous scholarship that engages deeply with the archives of modern and contemporary artists, critics and/or curators and related archives.

The Predoctoral Fellowship Program:
- Funds two consecutive months of archival research
- Awards predoctoral fellows a stipend of $10,000 each
- Supports rigorous research that engages deeply with the archives of modern and contemporary artists, critics and/or curators and related archives
