The Pulitzer Center and Diversify Photo are partnering again for a second year to bring you the 2021 Eyewitness Photojournalism Grant. Three $2,500 grants will be awarded.

We are seeking to support underreported stories told by historically underrepresented journalists. We invite photojournalists from around the world to submit proposals for stories that focus on and explore the systemic and underreported issues in our communities, including but not limited to racial justice, climate change, environmental justice, gender equality, and human rights.

The grant could be used for the hard costs associated with reporting, including transportation, translator fees, housing, food, and other essential expenses.

Applicants are strongly encouraged to apply with a letter of commitment from a news outlet with significant reach. If you have a great story to tell and need help connecting with editors, let us know and we’ll help make introductions.
